The debut release of CT’s Llama Tsunami, “Get Serious” captures the essence of the band’s primary message. The title of the album is both ironic and fitting. In a way, it mocks those who take themselves far too seriously and are unable to laugh at a joke at their own expense, but it also recognizes the necessity for dedication. As the band’s first full length studio album, it offers their light-hearted approach to songwriting and tempers it with more mature songs offering a deeper message. There is something for everyone on this album, but in the end the album is simply lots of fun. As the band says, “We play ska. Some people don’t like us because apparently ska isn’t fun anymore. We beg to differ.”
